BE LIKE JEFF!!

The week of September 19-22, saw all Laker fall varsity sports teams wear red to draw awareness to the benefits of living your best life when you Live Heads Up. No one better exemplifies this than Laker Football Coach Jeff Young, a Class of 1980 graduate of Lake Oswego High School. This year marks the 40th year since Jeff’s diagnosis of the debilitating disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Jeff’s commitment to living his best life with a positive attitude also caught the attention of Live Heads Up, a nonprofit organization founded by former Portland Trailblazer, Lake Oswego Resident and LO Basketball coach Chris Dudley and his wife.. also named Chris.   The mission of The Live Heads Up Foundation is to empower, educate and celebrate the pursuit of positivity in the face of adversity.  Live Heads Up has worked with students of all ages ranging from elementary school through college.  Live Heads Up recently added Coach Jeff Young as an ambassador to the brand as he exemplifies the brand and its mission.
